Class Feis

What is a Class Feis? A feis is an Irish dance competition! A class feis is a mock competition for our school only - we will have a special guest judge to give in depth feedback to each dancer. This will not count towards advancement, but will be a good tool for future competitions. 

This is a great opportunity for:

• students new to competition to learn about the process in a low pressure environment!
• dancers currently competing to get more in depth feedback on their dancing.
• dancers heading to NAIDC 2023 to practice (we will use the Class Feis in place of Mock Nationals)
• parents to learn the ins and outs of competition and ask any questions!

Who is invited to attend? Anyone and everyone! Unsure if you should attend? Send us an email!

The cost will be $40 to participate.

What costumes are needed?

Pre-School: Beginer Dancers

Boys:

• plain white button down shirt
• suspenders and bowtie 
• black pants
• black socks
• black ballet slippers

Girls:

• white ruffle socks 
• black ballet slippers
• blue glitter leotard
• bow (provideded by Miss Molly)

Beginer Dancers:

• ultra low poodle socks (if you don't own them, linked is a store based out of MKE)
• Irish dance shoes (we have used ones at the studio) or black ballet slippers
• navy dress
• hair half up and down with white bow 

Advanced Beginner / Novice Dancers:

• ultra low poodle socks (if you don't own them, linked is a store based out of MKE)
• Irish dance shoes
• school dress
• wig - as the trends change in Irish dance we are going to transition to the shorter Ciara wig from Camelia Rose, it is similar to our current style - just shorter if you have the one from Antonio Pacelli you don't need a new one. If you need a wig, email Celeste at celeste@milwaukeeirishdance.com
• rhinestoned white bow (available for purchase at the studio)

Prizewinner / Champ Dancers:

• ultra low poodle socks (if you need a new pair, linked is a store based out of MKE)
• Irish dance shoes
• solo dress
• wig
• hairpiece for solo dresses

**if you don't have a costume yet OR are waiting for a new one - please wear a black skirt / black top**
